I Part

  1. Belief in Allah

–       Tawheed Ar-Ruboobiyyah:

The belief that Allah alone is the Rabb, that is, the Creator, the Provider, the Proprietor, the One in whose hand is the disposal of all affairs, and who has the power over all things. He gives life, causes death, grants honor.

–       Tawheed Al-Uloohiyyah:

The belief that Allah alone is the One who has the right of Uloohiyyah (divinity) over all of His creatures, that is, He is the One who deserves to be worshiped.

–       Tawheed Al-Asma wa Sifaat:

The affirmation of all the divine names and attributes with which Allah has qualified Himself, and those imputed to Him by His Messenger, without drawing similarity or parallels between the attributes of Allah and those of His creatures.

  1. Belief in the Angels

To believe in the existence of the angels who are bodies of light. They are honorable slaves of Allah who execute their duties perfectly without objection, and celebrate His praise day and night without slackening. Angles are not to be described as male or female.

They also perform salah bowling and prostrating standing in straight lines. Allah said in Surah Fajr 22: And your Mighty Lord arrives and His Angels, rank upon rank. Allah said in Surah Safaat 1: By those who arrange themselves in ranks (or rows, to serve and to worship Allah).

The Prophet said: There is no space of hand span in the heaven but is occupied by an angel who is either bowing or prostrating. (Ibn Majjah and others) They obey Allah constantly.

As we all know that the belief in angels is one of the foundations of faith, and not belief in the angels properly insan is not believer. Allah Ta’ala, W, says in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 285;

آمن الرسول بما أنزل إليه من ربه والمؤمنون كل آمن بالله وملائكته وكتبه ورسله لا نفرق بين أحد من رسله وقالوا سمعنا وأطعنا غفرانك ربنا وإليك المصير.

The Messenger believe in what has been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believe in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. The angels are created before Adam a,s, Allah said in the Surah Baqarah 30: Behold, your Lord said to the angels: “I will create a vicegerent on earth.

Can we see the angels?

As we have mentioned that they are a creature of light, then they cannot be seen, and Allah has not given us such power that they can be seen, and none of the creatures can see the Angel in their actual form in which they were created, while the Prophet saw Jibril twice in the form in which it was created by Allah. But people can see if Angel transforms into the human figure.

How big they are?

Allah says in Surah Tahreem 66; 6:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ عَلَيْهَا مَلَائِكَةٌ غِلَاظٌ شِدَادٌ لَّا يَعْصُونَ اللَّهَ مَا أَمَرَهُمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ.

O you who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels strong (and) severe, who do not hesitate (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do (precisely) what they are commanded.

And before we mentioned that Prophet Muhammad saw the Angel Jebril in Surah Takweer 23 Allah said:

وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ بِالْأُفُقِ الْمُبِينِ.

And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. Meaning indeed Muhammad saw Jibril, who brought him the Message from Allah, in the form that Allah created him in (his true form) and he had six hundred wings. And Allah says in Surah Najm 13-15;

وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَىٰ.عِندَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُنتَهَىٰ.عِندَهَا جَنَّةُ الْمَأْوَىٰ.

For indeed he saw him (Jibril) at a second descent, Near the Lote-tree beyond which none may pass, Near it is the Garden of Abode. The Prophet said: I saw Jibril while he had six hundred wings and a coloful array of pearls and rubies falling from the feathers of his wings. (Imam Ahmad)  Abdullah ib Mas’ud said; The Messenger of Allah saw Jibril in his original shape while Jibril has six hundred wings, each wing covering the side of the horizon. From his wings, precious stones were dropping of which only Allah has knowledge. Ahmad.

How big are the bear Angels of Arsh?

Imam Abu Dawud reported form Jabir bin Abdullah that the Prophet said: I will tell you about Angels who are bear the Arsh of Allah. Between his ear and  and neck fringe is distance 70/100 years walking.
