U vremenu nepravde i zulma

On im samo pušta do Dana kada će im oči ostati otvorene.

Imam Buhari i Muslim.

 In the time of oppression

islamic-center.jpgNo one likes injustice and oppression, but every one like justice, in the Qur’an the word injustice and oppression mentioned more then 200 times, which telling us a lot. What kind of character is the injustice? What oppressors think who they are?

The primary goal of Islam is to establish justice on earth. The goal of all previous revelations and the Prophets is, in surah Hadid 25 Allah said: We have already sent Our messengers with clear evidences and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that the people may maintain [their affairs] in justice. By this, oppression is always in conflict with all revelations and all religions.

Allah (s,t) said in surah Qaf 17-18: When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. And Allah said in surah Isra 36: And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart – about all those [one] will be questioned.

Allah said in surah Ibrahim 42: And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare [in horror]. Do not think that Allah is unaware of what the unjust disbelievers do, do not think because He is giving them respite and delayed their punishment.

The forbidden injustices include all forms. The first, the highest level and the most extreme form of injustice is al-shirk or associating partners with Allah. Allah says in the surah Luqman 13: “Verily joining others in worship with Allah is a great form of injustice indeed. The second form is unjust towards one own self such as committing sins. The third form is dhulm or unjust towards others whether human beings or other creatures.

Allah said in surah Naml 52: So those are their houses, desolate because of the wrong they had done. Indeed in that is a sign for people who know. And He said in surah Al-Kahf 59: And those cities – We destroyed them when they wronged, and We made for their destruction an appointed time.

Allah said in surah Hud 113: And do not incline toward those who do wrong, lest you be touched by the Fire, and you would not have other than Allah any protectors; then you would not be helped.

Jabir bin Abdullah r,a, reported that the Messenger of Allah said: Beware of injustice, for oppression will be darkness on the Day od Resurrection, and beware of stinginess because it doomed those who were before you. It incited them to shed blood and treat the unlawful as lawful. (Imam Muslim)

Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari reported that the Messenger of Allah said: Verily, Allah gives respite to the oppressor. But when He seized him, He does not let him escape. Then the Prophet recited ayah from surah Hud 102: And thus is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the cities while they are committing wrong. Indeed, His seizure is painful and severe.

Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-As reported: Messenger of Allah said: A Muslim is one from whose tongue and hands the Muslims are safe, and a muhajir (emigrant) is the one who refrains from what Allah has forbidden. (Buhari and Muslim).

Muath ibn Jabal reported that the Messenger of Allah said: “Beware of the supplication of the oppressed, for there is no barrier between it and Allah”. (B, M)

It was relayed on the authority of Abu Dhar al-Ghifari, that the Prophet, said, of what he related from his Lord, magnified and exalted be He, Who said: “O My servants, I have made oppression unlawful for Me and unlawful for you, so do not commit oppression against one another.
