Mjesec Ša’ban

Petnaesta noć mjeseca Ša’bana e zove ”Lejletul Berat” noć oprosta, noć izlaganja dijela. Kao što nam Poslanik a,s, kaže u hadisima, da je Ša’ban mjesec kojeg su ljudi zanemarili i nemarno se odnose prema njemu, u njemu se uzdižu djela, i ja volim da se moja djela uzdignu dok postim.

Allah dž,š, kaže u suri Duhan 1-3: Hamim, tako mi Knjige jasne, Mi smo počeli da je u blagoslovljenoj noći objavljujemo, i Mi, doista, opominjemo. Imam El-Kurtubi i Imam Ibn Kesir kažu; Blagoslovljena noć u ovom ajetu se misli na noć ”lejletul Kadr” koja je u ramazanu. I ovo je mišljenje većine učenjaka, kao i Abdullaha ibn Abbasa r,a. No, međutim Imam El-Kurtubu prihvata mišljenje onih učenjaka koji kažu da se pod blogoslovljenoj noći misli i na petnaestu noć Ša’bana. Noć u kojoj se donose odluke.

Aiša r,a, je rekla; Poslanik a,s, je najviše postio u mjesecu Ša’banu, pa sam rekla; o Allahov Poslaniče! Vidim da najviše postiš u mjesecu Ša’banu, pa je rekao a,s; Ovo je mjesec u kome se zapisuje (naređuje) meleku smrti čiju će dušu uzeti, a ja nevolim da mi se zapiše osim u stanju dok postim. (el-Hejsemi u medžmeu zevaid)

U drugoj predaji od Aiše r,a, se spominje; Svakoj duši bude propisana smrt u toj godini, a ja volim da mi dođe edžel dok postim. U drugoj predaji se spominje: Svakom se propiše edžel od ša’bana do ša’bana, tako da se čovjek i oženi i rodi mu se dijete a njegovo se ime pojavilo među mrtvim.

Imam Ibn Madže bilježi hadis od Ebu Muse r,a: Allah dž,š, pogleda sva svoja stvorenja u polovini mjeseca ša’bana, i oprosti svima, osim nevjerniku, i svađalici. U drugom rivajetu se kaže od Abdullaha ibn Amra r,a, da je Poslanik a,s, rekao; Allah dž,š, pogleda sva svoja stvorenja u polovini mjeseca ša’bana, i oprosti svima, oprosti svima osim dvojici, samoubici i onome koji je pun mržnje. Ibn Madže.

Imam Šafija je rekao: došlo je do nas da je rečeno da se u pet noći primaju sve dove: petak uveče, noć ramazanskog i kurbanskog bajrama, prve noći u mjesecu redžebu i petnaeste noći u mjesecu ša’banu.

Imam Malik ibn Enes je rekao prenoseći od Urve od Aiše r,a, da je rekal; da je ona čula Poslanika a,s,da postoje četiri noći u kojima se kapije bogobojaznim otvaraju. Noć ramazanskog bajrama, noć arefata (9 zul hidže) i noć polovine ša’bana. (Gunijah At-Talibin)

Imam In Tejmije r,h, je rekao kad je upitan o noće polovine ša’bana on je rekao; Kada muslimani uče u noći polovine ša’bana posebno svako za sebe ili džematile, kao naši preci pobokorni i metekije, tako je bolje. (Medžmual Fetava). Ata ibn Jesar je rekao; poslije noći kadr nemam ni jedna vrednija noć od polovine ša’bana.

The month of Sha’ban

The middle night of Sha’ban is an important night in the Islamic calendar. The fifteenth night of Sha’ban also called ‘’Laylatul Barat’’, which means the night of immunity. The night is so called because Allah offers immunity from the fire of Hell for those who repent to Him sincerely on this night. From the sunnah and sayings and actions of our pious predecessors, there is evidence to suggest that this a time of devotion and excessive worship.

 Allah says in the surah Dukhan 1-3: Ha mim. By the clear Book, Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night. Indeed, we were to warn (mankind). Imam Al-Qurtubi and Imam Ibn Katheer writes in their tafsee that the “blessed night” being referred to n this verse is “Laylatul Qadr” and this is the opinion which most scholars allude to, include the companion Ibn Abbas. However Imam Al-Qurtubi also accepts that some scholars believe it is referring to ‘’Layla nisf Sha’ban”. Ikrimah, for example, believes that the night in this verse is night of middle of Sha’ban, the night when all decisions are decreed for the following year.

There is hadith from Aisha that she said that the Prophet used to fast majority of the Sha’ban, I said: O Messenger of Allah! I see that you fast too much in the month of Sha’ban, he said: In this month is writing the orders to the angel of death which soul shall he will take. I do not like to be my name there except I’m fasting. Imam Al-Hajthami

Abu Musa narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: Allah looks His entire creation on “night of Sha’ban” and he forgives all of them, except the polytheist and the quarrelsome. Imam Ibn Maja.

Abu Abdullah ibn Amr narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: Allah looks over His entire creation on night of middle of Sha’ban, and He forgives all of them, except two: the quarrelsome and the murder. Imam Ahmad.

Imam Ash-Shafi’ said: It has reached us that it is said that there are five nights when the dua is accepted; the night of Jumuah, the night of Eidul Fit and Eidul Adha, the first night of Rajab and the fifteenth of Sha’ban.

Imam Malik ibn Anas reports from Urwah, from Aisha who said she heard the Messenger of Allah state that there are four nights in which the gates of righteousness are opened; the night of Eidul Fitr and Eidul Adha, the night of Arafat (9th Zul Hijjah) and night of the month of Sha’ban. (Gunya Al-Talibin)

Imam ibn Taymiyah was asked about prayers on night of middle of Sha’aban. He replied: When the Muslim reads on night of middle of Sha’ban alone or in congregation, like our pious ancestors have done, then it is better. (Majmaul fatawa, Ibn Taymiyah). Ata ibn Yasir was reported to have said: After night of Qadr, there is no night better than night of middle of Sha’ban.
