Bajramsko zadovoljstvo

O muslimani!

Allah će, sigurno, sve grijehe oprostiti; On, doista, mnogo prašta i On je milostiv.”

Pleasure of Eid

Thanks to Allah the Greatest that he made us Muslims. We thank Him that He guided us by His book (Qur’an) and sunnah of His Prophet (PBUH).

And we witness that there is no God but Allah alone with no partner and associate, who has made Eids as seasons for the pleasure and joy for those who worship Him with true faith and obedience.

The sacred days of the glorious month of Ramadan have gone past so speedily. We sadly bid farewell to the blessed month of Ramadan, knowing that ahead of us lie many Ramadan’s, which we may or may not reach.

Oh Muslims, the month of generosity and hospitality had passed away, the month of fasting, Qur’an and charity.  We do not know who is accepted to congratulate him and who is refused to consulate him?

Brothers and sisters! This day of Eid al-fitr is a great day, at which people should be pleased that Allah helped them to fast, recite Qur’an and do the rest of worships.

Eid is special celebration and ritual occasions that was given to us Muslims. It is not made for us, as some may think, to relax from work, show off and enjoy food and drinks. It is not for us, as many do in these days, to be heedless from the remembrance of Allah and cross the religious borders, rather, it is for us to thank Allah that he guided us to follow his path and be one of his obedient slaves.

The blessed day of Eid is a time of great joy for having served our Lord sincerely and feeling spiritually recharged. On this morning of Eid, Satan shouts with extreme disappointment and summons his armies to his accursed presence. They then inquire why they have been gathered and Satan replies:

“Don’t you see how Allah has pardoned the believing community of Muhammad (pbuh)? Now go throughout the earth and lead them astray. Distract them from the divine remembrance and tempt them with lust, intoxicants and every mechanism of vice. Lead them back to their old evil and dirty habits that they may incur the anger of Allah and thus end up in Hell fire.”

Oh Muslims! Heed the golden advise of our, Nabi Muhammad (pbuh). Enhance your days of Eid with good actions. Beautify your Eid day by giving charity to the poor and needy, supplicate to Allah and reconcile with your families, mending your estranged relations. Glorify your Lord, as He looks upon you with His Eye of divine Mercy.

The gracious day of Eid resembles the Resurrection Day. The Noble Prophet (pbuh) said: Whosoever commits a sin on Eid day is like one who commits a sin in Allah’s presence on Judgement day.”

There is an important sign for the acceptance of our worships during Ramadan. This sign is the continuity in the worships after Ramadan. Because we do not worship Ramadan but we worship Allah who is present all the time not only in Ramadan, so we should keep at our praying in the Mosque, reciting Qur’an and all other types of worships after Ramadan.

Dear brothers: The real Eid is for those who obeyed God, while grief for those who disobeyed Him. The feast is for those who fasted and spent their month in worships. It is for those who spent their nights praying, listening and reading Qur’an, not listening to the songs and melodies. Allah, Almighty says:  Say: “In the bounty of God. And in His Mercy, – in that let them rejoice”: that is better than the (wealth) they hoard. Yunus 58.

One of the Salaf said: “No one can enjoy life away from the path of his Lord unless he is heedless.” Al-Hasan said: “Every day in which the person don’t disobey God can be considered as Eid; and everyday the person spend following Allah guidance, worshipping and thanking Him can be considered also as Eid

Eid in Islam has its own concept and meaning. It is a religious pleasure that cannot be achieved without the obedience to God. It is joy for Muslims in this life, and symbol of their strength and brotherhood.

Some people, however, are overshadowed by the joy and the pleasure of the feast to the extent that they forget to do their duties of thanking and show gratitude to Allah. They forget that it is a blessing itself to find this pleasure, which is not enjoyed by many. He is not aware that Eid may come to people who are humiliated, or who are experiencing sorrow because of calamity, poverty or other reason, making them not able to enjoy this joy.

So, fear Allah, be thankful for His blessings and abandon doing sins during Eid. Do not let your joy and desires override you to do things that make you gain the anger of Allah. Fear Allah and make the Eid full of worships and repentance in order to gain more and more rewards; and in hope that Allah will forgive your sins and accept your repentance.

Allah says: ‘‘Say: “O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of God: for God forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful’’ Al-Zumar 53

Dear Muslims: While experiencing and enjoying the pleasure of Eid, we have to remember Allah. We have to remember those who are oppressed, orphaned and those dying of hunger. We have to remember those who have lost their children, families and lands because of the wars, and oppression. We have to remember our brothers in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Sudan, Sirya, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, and other parts of the world. We have to remember them and try to feel their pain and grief. That will help us to understand and appreciate the values of the blessings we have.

Oh Muslims! As we stretch forth our hand of Eid Mubarak, let it be a resolve to be part and bring about positive change. Let our Eid Mubarak be a meaningful step towards a spiritual and moral revolution of love, justice, peace and harmonious co-existence. O Allah, we ask you to bring honour, joy and victory to all Muslims in this Eid. Our Lord, pour upon us patience and make us successful. Lord, give us good in this world good in the Hereafter and save us the agony of fire.

Wish you all a happy and nice Eid!
