One of Allah’s promises
One of Allah’s promises is found in Surah an-Nur (light). Life without light is unimaginable! Just in this Surah Allah gives us a promise, the promise that shows us the way to overcome worldly temptations, intrigue and secret plans of those who refuse obedience to Allah and covet for their personal interests, passions (desire) and instincts.
In this verse 55 Allah says: Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that – then those are the defiantly disobedient.
This is Allah’s promise and Allah will fulfill his promise, Allah said in surah Ali Imran 9: Indeed, Allah does not fail in His promise. And Allah said in surah Ar-Ra’d 11: Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.
Analyzing the verse we come to a few conclusions: A) The promise of Allah and His promises are true. B) The promise is to the true believers, and they are three things;
– Regency on Earth. Thus the leading role in the marriage the family the congregation the wider community! How is this clear in today’s crisis of the authority, whether in marriage family in community or in society in general?
– The strong influence of religion in everyday life in all its segments.
– Establishing security instead of fear, uncertainty and anxiety.
Under which circumstances will accomplish these three important promises or factors in the lives of Muslims? The condition is clear and unequivocal. And it is Ibadah! Worship is the purpose of human existence on Earth! And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.
And worship is all that we do. Thus, worship is the key to Allah’s promise. Do Muslim’s of today want to accomplish this promise; we must pounder over our lives, and what is the role of worship in our lives? Do we accept the role and order that Allah placed for us on this earth?
In the verse 56-57, Allah commands to establish prayer, zakat, obedience to the Prophet, Allah said: And establish prayer and give zakah and obey the Messenger – that you may receive mercy. And in the end he warned: Never think that the disbelievers are causing failure [to Allah] upon the earth. Their refuge will be the Fire – and how wretched the destination.
The verse has ordered the establishment of salat (aqimus-salah), therefore, refers to the individual, and the family, the Jama’at, on society. Let’s think about the severity of the next verse from suara Al-Hajj 41: [And they are] those who, if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give zakah and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And to Allah belongs the outcome of [all] matters.
Those who had influence and give opportunities on the Earth, at home, in marriage, in the family, the companies; in the congregation and in society in general, what should be most important to do is? To establish prayer, the zakat and create a mechanism or system of the momentum for good and prevent evil!
Allah has clearly warned us in Surah Al-Imran 186: You will surely be tested in your possessions and in yourselves. And you will surely hear from those who were given the Scripture before you and from those who associate others with Allah much abuse. But if you are patient and fear Allah – indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of determination.
What we see and hear, lies and hatred against Islam and Muslims. To overcome all this, with SABUR and integrity of Allah!
Allah said in Suarah Al-Ankabut: Do the people think that they will be left to say, “We believe” and they will not be tried? But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars. Or do those who do evil deeds think they can outrun Us? Evil is what they judge.
A dangerous thing is when insan (human) refuses to accept Islamic identity that Allah has bestowed upon him. This identity is the privilege of believers! So the Prophet’s warning statement when he says: Who is identified with one nation belongs to them!
Let’s think about another verse, which we can clearly identify and define, Allah said in Surah Al-Fath 29: Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allah and [His] pleasure.
