Ugodan i lijep život – A good life

Ugodan i lijep život

Drugi dio

Ko god ide krivim putem on ima težak život, čak i ako mi mislimo drugačije.

A good life – Hayaatan tayyibah

Second part

Imam Sedin Agic Allah the Most high, says in surah An-Nahl 97: Whoever works righteousness, man or woman, and has Faith, verily, to him will We give a new Life, a life that is good and pure and We will bestow on such their reward according to the best of their actions.

A good life is what most people want to live.  It is a life of happiness and fulfillment with little suffering, pain, or sickness. The American dream defined it to be richer, better, and fuller for everyone in the form of good education, a well-paying job, and a comfortable life.

God’s Word, on the other hand, sets a slightly different standard for a good life.  It bases a ‘good life’ on spiritual contentment.  It does not limit a good life tied to superior education, material plenty, or the perfect body.  It brings happiness not from what lies outside, but from within.  More accurately, a ‘good life’ is God cantered.

God promises a ‘good life’ to whoever does good deeds.  What makes deeds ‘good’? It is not what people define ‘good’ for themselves.  Worst criminals justify their crimes.  Fighting parties do not think of themselves as anything but ‘good.’

Imam Ibn Katheer said: This is promise from Allah to those children of Adam male or female, who do righteous deeds, deeds in accordance with the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet.

Allah promises that He will give them a good life in this world and that He will reward them according to the best of their deeds in the Hereafter. The good life includes feeling tranquillity in all aspects of life. The Messenger of Allah said: He who submits (becomes a Muslim) has succeeded, is given sufficient provisions, and is content with Allah for what he is given. Imam Ahmed.

The believers have a very good life; don’t be fooled by what you see. For sometimes what you see is not what you get. Sometimes you can see a wealthy disbeliever, who has the world in his hands, but you can’t see what is going on in the inside, and he doesn’t know what the believers are feeling because he has never felt it. He feels happy with what he has and doesn’t know that there is something much better than that.

Ibrahim ibn Adham (May Allah have mercy on him) said “If the kings knew the happiness and pleasure that we feel in our hearts, they would come and try to take it away from us with the tips of their swords.” (Bidayah wa nihayah Ibn Katheer)

Allah says in surah Taha 124: And whoever turns away from My remembrance – indeed, he will have a depressed life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind.

Whoever opposed my command and what I have revealed to My Messenger, then he has turned away from it, neglected it. His life will be hard in this world. He will have no tranquillity and no expanding of his breast. Even if he appears to be in comfort outwardly and he wears whatever he likes, eats whatever he likes and lives wherever he wants, he will not be happy. His heart will not have pure guidance.

Be assured anyone not on the true path is having a life of misery even if you think otherwise. Whilst the believers who are apparently going through suffering, Allah is giving them a feeling in their heart that could not be bought with the wealth of this Dunya.

Because of the difficulty the believers go through and the patience they show Allah gives them something in their hearts that cannot be described with words. Again, if you are not feeling this, then there is something wrong with the iman (faith).
